St Columba's Class of '26 achieve outstanding outcomes yet again
For the third year in a row students from St Columba's have gained exceptional GCSE results, far outperforming the national figures for boys in subjects across the board. Over 50% of boys achieved a Grade 5 in both English and maths - a stunning achievement for an all-male cohort. Nearly 30% of boys got a Grade 7 or higher in maths whilst over a quarter of boys achieved a Grade 7 or higher in English.

Results for boys in RE, history, French and statistics particularly stood out, with other subjects almost matching last year's record breaking results meaning that most boys are able to access their first choice of 6th Form Provision.

Headteacher Dave Evans was delighted for the boys: "Once again our students have embraced what it is to be a St Columba's Boy - a combination of great teaching, excellent attendance and most importantly the students’ first class attitude towards school has seen the Class of '26 gain the grades they deserve. The young men can be rightly proud of what they achieved and know they are fully prepared for what comes next!"
Prospective students in the current Year 6 are encouraged to come and visit our Open Day on Saturday October 3. Further details can be found here.
